Financial Transparency, Fiduciary Oversight, & Donation Accountability:
How We Work
Organization: Afghan Development and Vocational Training Program (ADVTP NGO)
Legal Status: Registered NGO | Ministry of Economy, Afghanistan (Since 1991)
Our Approach: Never Just Numbers
Sending humanitarian aid and building real change in Afghanistan means more than technical skill. You need absolute transparency and genuine accountability. Donors and partners rely on us to make sure every dollar makes a difference — tracked, protected, and put to use where it matters most.
For over 35 years, ADVTP has run on a solid foundation of financial integrity. We don’t just comply with the rules; we set our own standards higher. Openness isn’t a box to check off — it’s who we are. Every contribution is traced in a modern accounting system and independently checked by folks on the ground, so you always know your support isn’t lost to administrative haze. It reaches the people and the projects you care about.
Where Your Support Goes: Our 9 Portfolio System
Every donation lands exactly where it’s intended, thanks to a structure that prevents waste and overlap. Here’s where your support has an impact:
1. Technical Education & Literacy:
Grown-up literacy classes, hands-on training, and new learning opportunities that break the cycle of poverty — for good.
2. Health & Nutrition for Kids:
We fund mobile clinics, nutrition programs for little ones, and public campaigns to help families stay healthy.
3. Clean Water & Sanitation:
Your donation might help drill a well, set up a pipeline, or create emergency water access when people need it most.
4. Vocational Training:
From industrial workshops to home-based skills, we put modern tools and raw materials in the hands of people eager to learn.
5. Child Protection:
We keep Child-Friendly Spaces open and staffed, run tracing systems to reunite families, and offer trauma counseling.
6. Emergency Response:
In a crisis, funds go to food baskets, winter shelters, and medical kits—delivered quickly to those hit hardest.
7. Climate-Resilient Farming:
We support research, seed production, and orchard programs to help farmers adapt and thrive.
8. Women’s Economic Empowerment:
Micro-business support, financial literacy training, and packages that help women start and grow small enterprises.
9. Livelihood Programs for Vulnerable Groups:
Cash-for-work opportunities for widows, displaced people, and households led by folks with disabilities.
How We Keep Your Money Safe: Four Pillars of Integrity
1. Tight Internal Controls
No one moves money alone. Every transaction requires multiple signatures—from the Finance Director and the Board. Our cloud-based accounting logs every single expense as it occurs, double-checked against physical receipts.
2. Independent Audits & Reporting
Outside partners regularly visit our sites. Auditors match our reports with what’s happening on the ground—no numbers without faces. And we file detailed financial reports with Afghan authorities, meeting all legal requirements.
3. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Corruption Prevention
We strictly vet every supplier and contractor—checked against international watchlists. We don’t tolerate bribery or fund diversion, period.
4. Asset & Field Tracking
Anything we purchase (from a water pump to a sewing machine) is given a unique ID, photographed, and GPS-tagged. We track assets over the long haul, not just week one.

Real Results, Open Feedback
Donors deserve real answers: What changed because you gave? You’ll never get a generic thank-you letter from us. We send narrative reports showing exactly where your money went, with clear numbers and detailed impact data — right down to how many women trained or seeds distributed. We also lay out the cost of each outcome, so you can see the direct value of your gift. And if you want to know how projects are really running, you’ll hear it from the Afghan communities themselves through anonymous feedback lines.
